IMPORT DATA FROM EXCEL®

You may import data into TRAIN TRACK™ from Excel®:

You may import all of your data when you first start using the program, and you may import additional data at any time.


Import Employee Records

1. From the Main Menu, Records tab, click on Import from Excel®: Employees.

2. The Import dialog will open. Click Browse.

2 The Browse box will open. Select a folder to export the Excel® template to, and click OK.

3. Click Open Template to open the template file in Excel®.

4. Paste your data into the columns in the template. The data must be in this format in order to be imported. Leave columns blank if you don’t have data to paste. Any new job titles, departments, or employee types will be automatically added.

5. Close and save the Excel® file, then return to TRAIN TRACK and click Next.

 

6. Click Import. The data you pasted into the spreadsheet will be imported. Confirm the import, then click Close.


Import Training Records

From the Main Menu, Records tab, click on Import Training  Data from Excel. The import screen will open.  The steps are the same as above, but with Training recods.

Import Training Completion Data

From the Main Menu Records tab, click on Import Training Completion Data from Excel. The import screen will open. The steps are the same as above, but with Training Completion recods.
