TRAIN TRACK® Web Component
The new web-based user interface for TRAIN TRACK® allows you to access the program using a web browser. It may be used alone or as a supplement for the client/server edition. The web interface offers much faster performance, especially for remote users or with high volume. It also provides employees with the ability to take exams or enroll in scheduled classes online. The web interface connects to the same back-end database as the traditional client user interface, and both may be used at the same time. The web component consists of .asp pages which may be installed on your web server and accessed across your network, or hosted by us.
The hosted web application resides on our secure servers and is accessed over the internet. The hosted version does not include the traditional client user interface and is accessed only through a web browser.
License
TRAIN TRACK® is licensed per user. Your database license includes one read/write user. A read/write user is someone who accesses the program to edit records. You may also have an unlimited number of users who are just logging on to take exams, view their own training status or that of their subordinates, or who have read-only access. These users do not need a license. Additional read/write user licenses may be purchased at any time. There is no limit to the number of employees you may track with your database license.
Each database license allows for one database, or one set of data. You may also store backup, development and test copies. Additional locations which maintain separate sets of data, or additional databases within one location, require separate licenses.
Your license includes the annual support contract for the first year at no additional charge. This allows you to receive all product updates and technical support for one full year for free. Technical support is provided for the licensed product only (see Free Technical Support Policies). After the first year, you may purchase the annual support contract to continue to receive product updates and support.

Customizable Web Component
The client/server with web component is also available in a customizable edition. This edition allows you to make modifications to the program for use within your company or organization. Please see the customizable edition details or contact us for more information.
Specifications
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- A web server configured to support .asp pages (for example, IIS which is included in most versions of Windows®).
- SQL Server® 2005 or better.You may use the free version (SQL Express) or, if you already have SQL Server®, you may use your existing installation. The database can be installed on the same server as other applications. You should have at least 10 MB disk space.
- A standard client PC running Windows® 2000/XP/Vista/7.
- A web browser, and access to the web server over your network.
CAPACITY
- The amount of data you may store will be determined by the capacity of your SQL Server® database.
- There is no limit to the number of users.
INSTALLATION
This component requires an IT/web professional for installation and set-up. Or, if you would like the application to be set up for you, you may use our installation services. Our free technical support does not include configuration of your network or your web server. You will need to set up an ODBC connection between the .asp pages and your server database with appropriate permissions and user access.
