TRAIN TRACK® Client/Server Edition
TRAIN TRACK® Client/Server edition is a Microsoft® SQL Server® back-end database, with a separate user interface that can be installed on multiple workstations. This configuration offers more stability and security than the standard edition, and gives you the option of also using the web-based user interface.
Download a free 30-day trial! The trial version is a standalone database that has the same user interface as the client/server edition, and most of the same features. For more details on what features are included in each edition, compare editions. If you are interested in adding the web-based user interface, you may also view the online demo of the web component.
Regulatory Compliance
TRAIN TRACK® Client/Server edition provides everything you need for Compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11. The program allows you to track changes, control access, and prevent unauthorized changes through password protection, audit trails, and electronic signatures. The Client/Server Edition includes all of the following:
- Limiting System Access (21 CFR 11.10d): Authorized users must be logged in with a unique user name and password. You may assign different levels of access to each user to limit the data they may view or edit.
- Program Time-Outs (21 CFR 11.10d): The user will be logged out after a period of inactivity.
- Audit Trails (21 CFR 11.10e): Provides a complete change history for each record:
- Date and time of the change
- User who made the change, and computer name
- Old value
- New value
- Authority Checks (21 CFR 11.10g): Event Logs record all user logins, log outs, setting passwords, and changing passwords. The log captures the user name, employee name, date and time, and the name of the computer used to access the program.
- Electronic Signatures (21 CFR 11, Subpart B): The user enters their user name and password, and confirms the record they wish to sign, and the meaning of the signature. Once the user confirms the decision to apply the signature, the entry is locked from further editing. The electronic signature includes all of the elements required by the FDA:
- Signature
- Date
- The meaning of the signature
License
TRAIN TRACK® is licensed per user. Your database license includes one read/write user. A read/write user is someone who accesses the program to edit records. You may also have an unlimited number of users who are just logging on to take exams, view their own training status or that of their subordinates, or who have read-only access. These users do not need a license. Additional read/write user licenses may be purchased at any time for $49* each. There is no limit to the number of employees you may track with your database license, and with this version there is no limit to the size of your database.
Each database license allows for one database, or one set of data. You may also store backup and test copies. Additional locations which maintain separate sets of data, or additional databases within one location, require separate licenses.
Your license includes the annual support contract for the first year at no additional charge. This allows you to receive all product updates and technical support for one full year for free.
